Book Arts lecture in Boulder, CO

                       BEAUTIFUL PRINTING
                    A LECTURE BY JIM TRISSEL
                    7 P.M., THURSDAY, DEC. 8
ROOM N-410, NORLIN LIBRARY, UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO AT BOULDER

Don't miss this chance to hear Jim Trissel of Colorado Springs,
nationally known fine letterpress printer (and painter and
calligrapher). Trissel's limited-edition creations, found in
libraries and private collections nationwide and in Europe, range
from classic poetry folios to elaborate and colorful artist's
books-- including the first Book of Hours designed and printed in
300 years. He'll bring samples for examination and will describe
printing challenges and how he solved them. The program,
cosponsored by the Book Arts League and CU Friends of the
Libraries, is at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in Room N-410 of
Norlin Library on the CU campus in Boulder. We'll have
refreshments at the end of the evening. Call 458-6903 or 347-6265
to RSVP or ask questions. Call 458-6903 for last-minute
information in case of snow Dec. 8.
