        Scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 1995 at 7:30 p.m. at Scripps
        College is a Frederic Goudy Lecture on the Book Arts sponsored
        by the Scripps College Press. Susan E. King, Los Angeles writer,
        world traveler, and book artist extraordinaire, will speak on
        "Travel Notes of a Prodigal Daughter". Earlier in the day, from
        9:30 to 4, Susan will direct a workshop on developing ideas for
        artists' travel books. (Reservations for the workshop are
        limited and necessary and can be made with Kitty Maryatt, (909)
        607-3866).

        Following the workshop, an opening reception will be held for the
        exhibition "Journeys of Self: The Artist Books of Susan King"
        at the Denison Library, Scripps College campus at 4:30 pm. The
        exhibition can be viewed from November 1- December 22, 1995. Both
        the Goudy Lecture and the reception are free and open to the
