The Collection of Michael Weintraub

The Center for Book Arts invites you to view the collection of Michael
Weintraub.


        Michael Weintraub is a book dealer specializing in European illustrated books
of the 20th century with an emphasis on central and eastern Europe.  His
collection, featuring the areas of costumes, cinema, theater and children's
books, includes posters, postcards, prints and other ephemeral items.  Michael
will speak briefly about his collecting adventures at 7:30.  This fund raising
event for the Center for Book Arts will be held on Friday, February 6th from 6
to 9pm at Michael Weintraub's, 135 West 26th Street.  Suggested donation is
$35.
        The Center for Book Arts is the first center of its kind in the United
States.  It's mission is to preserve traditional bookmaking techniques as well
as further develop the extraordinary world of contemporary book art.  Since
1974 the Center for Book Arts has mounted over 150 exhibitions and now offers
more than 100 classes and workshops each year.  The Center is located at 626
