NY GBW Lecture



The New York Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers is sponsoring a lecture
tomorrow at the Center for Book Arts in NYC. Barbara Rhodes and Bill
Streeter will present the results of their extensive research on the Copy
Press document copying process, also known as "letterpress" or "press"
copying.  Their book on this topic will be published by Oak Knoll later
this year. All are welcomed to attend this lecture, entitled, <italic>A
Historical Overview of the Copy Press Process:  Machines, Materials, and
Techniques</italic>, at The Center For Book Arts 626 Broadway, 5th Floor
(212)  460-976, on  Thursday, February 26, at 6:30 pm. A small reception
will follow.

Barbara Rhodes is the Conservator at the American Museum of Natural
History Library in NYC and Bill Streeter is a Hand Bookbinder  on Masonic
Street in Northampton, MA.
