Thanks you all for your keen interest in the Bookmaking classes to be held
here in Massachusetts in July at Saltwinds Yankee Barn Workshop.
Pat Baldwin's EDITION PRODUCTION WORKSHOP (including her eccentric bindings
!) July 6-9 still has a few spaces left. We are keeping the class size
down so that everyone will have lots of production room. Pat is known to
many of you
as one of the garus ( experts) of this List who contributes often and
generously. She runs her own business in Arizona which includes
printing and book making, including miniature books.
Kitty Sweet Winslow's EXPLORING THE ALTERED BOOK, July 13 - 16, gives
you three challenging topics to explore: THE BODY BOOK, THE POPULAR CULTURE
BOOK, and THE ONGOING JOURNAL. You will be altering and redesigning
books to produce your own unique variation. Kitty is a nationally known
painter, has received many fellowships and grants in the arts, and teaches
Mary Stewart's IN THE GARDEN: THE MULTI - DIMENSIONAL BOOK will involve
you in alternative book structures and methods of expression combining these
with your passion for some aspect of nature: flowers, plants, the wild
woods, garden architecture. The color linocut will also be taught as one
ways to add imagery. July 20 - 24.
Please email your address to us or send SASE to Saltwinds Yankee Barn Workshop
Box 52, Kingston, MA 02364 if you would like further information.
