If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, please join us on Sunday,
February 7th,  from 2-4pm to celebrate the publication of an exciting new
book, Speaking of Book Art: Interviews with British and American Book
Artists, by Cathy Courtney. The party will be held in the Heller Room at
the Olin Library, Mills College. Local book artists Julie Chen, Sas Colby,
Betsy Davids, Alisa Golden and Kathy Walkup, all of whom were interviewed
for the book, will be on hand along with an informal exhibition of their
recent work. Refreshments will be served.
        Speaking of Book Art: Interviews with British and American Book
Artists, is published by Anderson-Lovelace Publishers and designed by
Jaime Robles. It includes interviews with the above-named book artists and
Karen Bleitz, Paul Coldwell, Helen Douglas, Johanna Drucker, Susan
Johanknecht, Susan E. King, Ron King, Joan Lyons, Telfer Stokes and Ian
Tyson. The interviews were conducted by Cathy Courtney, who has written a
monthly column on artists books for the London publication Art Monthly for
the past fifteen years. The interviews had their genesis at Camberwell
College of Art, London, and at Mills College, Oakland California.
