Teachers Manuals

Here are a few slightly dated, but good solid manuals for teachers of book
binding. The methods of binding covered are all "traditional" but a solid
basis for further exploration.

Collins, Archie Frederick. Book Craft for Schools: The Approach to
Bookbinding. Leicester, England: Dryad Press, 1934.

Hewitt-Bates, James Samuel. Bookbinding for Schools: A Textbook for
Teachers and Students in Elementary and Secondary Schools amd Training
Colleges. Peoria, Ill.: Manual Arts Press, 1935.

Palmer, E.W. A Course in Bookbinding for Vocational Training. Part I,
Elementery Section, New York: Employing Bookbinders of America, 1927.

Halliday, J. Bookbinding as a Handwork Subject. New York: E.P. Dutton and
Co., n.d.
