wsock files

Hi Lyle -

I jumped the gun and deleted both wsock.dll and wsock.vxd from my system.
All is well, except that, apparently, these were the links to getting
explorer 4.0 connected to my server. (email is fine, modem connection fine)
I thought I would simply reload the files from my windows 95 cd. The first
time I looked at the cd files, there were several wsock files. Now, there
are none. (can files be deleted from a cd-rom??) The other business in our
building has the same system I do, so then I thought I would just copy the
files from that system. Their explorer 4.0 works great - but there are no
wsock files on the system (??) Even searched for any .dll files and found
nothing.

Any thoughts?

(Sorry to bother you with this, but as I can't get on to the net to query
microsoft, you are the link I thought I would try first)

Thanks so much for your time -
Roberta
