Book Arts Symposium at Hampshire College



Hampshire college, Amherst MA. has created a Center for the Book and the
Web site is up and functional.

To launch this adventure there is a Symposium: "The Art of the Book &
the Book as Art A Celebration of Book Arts in the Pioneer Valley" March
28 1 to 5 pm, the speakers from the valley are Barry Moser, Daniel Kelm,
Carol Blinn,  Martin Antonetti, David P. Bourbeau, Bibliographer, Neil
Zagorin, and
David Price from the  University of Texas at Austin. Plese check the web
site for more detailed imformation.

I have curated an exhibit Book Arts in the Pioneer Valley in the Film
Photo Gallery through this month. And am teaching a course at HAmpshire
- Building Books. There will photographs of the books in the exhibit and
student books posted on the web site in the near furture.
