A MULTI-FACETED BOOKARTS WORKSHOP JULY 6 - 9 AT SALTWINDS YANKEE BARN
"LAND ECHOES: EXPLORING THEMES USING INTRICATE IMAGES AND TEXT"
A very special workshop will be presented by the talented
teacher/artist KITTY SWEET WINSLOW of Wesleyan University. During the
full 4-day session Kitty will help you express your innate awe and wonder
of the natural and man-made environment. Many means of imaging and mark
making will be explored as you see and record with an artist's eye the
varied and colorful apsects of both nature and human culture .... woods,
marshes, meadows,waterfalls,barrier beaches,and bedrock formations as well
as local 17th,18th,19th & 20th century man-made objects and architecture.
Kitty will help you find your own individual artist's compass.
The sequencing of manipulated images and text will be stressed and the
resulting storyline made into unique artist's books . Many materials
will be made available for experimental structures.
Tuition includes continental breakfast and lunch. There are some rooms
available on site.
