The main annoying thing about polymer plates is that water degrades them.  That is,
even after you have washed them out and post exposed them and all that, they
continue to be sensitive to water and to eventually get gummy/ warp/detach from
steel backing and just generally become unusable.  So if you are planning a big
project using polymer and something wet like pulp, all I can say is, Magnesium.
