APHA New England Chapter Meeting



                AMERICAN PRINTING HISTORY ASSOCIATION
                         NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER


The New England Chapter of the American Printing History Association
invites you to its June meeting on Saturday, 12 June, at 2:00 p.m. at the
Providence Public Library.

The meeting will begin in the lecture room adjacent to the Updike
Collection Room with a talk on "Fast Women and the Boston Typesetting
Races of 1886" delivered by Walker Rumble, proprietor of the Oat City
Press and editor-printer of Paragraph magazine.

Following the lecture, Philip Weimerskirch, Curator of Rare Books at the
Providence Public Library, will give a tour of its famed Updike Collection
and show some of the Library's new acquisitions.

The meeting is free and open to the public. The Providence Public Library
is at the corner of Washington and Empire Streets in downtown Providence,
