Two weeks ago, on June 7, ABECEDARIUM opened at Ohio University in Athens,
Ohio. It will remain there until August 14, before travelling to Denver. If
you're in the area (Southeastern Ohio) you won't want to miss this
exciting exhibition. For more information consult the Library's website at
ABECEDARIUM features the collaborative work of members of the Guild of Book
Workers, with binders and calligraphers, binders and printers, binders and
illustrators, as well a numerous other combinations. With 40 participants
from 17 states and Canada, this exhibition features 38 books and one wall
mounted piece. Featured are excellent representations of contemporary work
in binding, letterpress printing, calligraphy, illustration and artists’ books.
