To put this in perspective, I once spent 26 hours paring the French Cape
Morocco leather for one fine binding, using a spokeshave and paring knives on
this large, thick skin. The time spent in doing a job well and carefully can
be very long indeed. Tooling alone can take the mentioned 15-20 hours or
more.

I work at the speed of a snail! "God is in the details" they say.
