Re: Marbled Paper

You can lightly rub parafin over the dry paper, then burnish with an agat=
e,
preferably a thin edge several inches across. This brings up a nice
old-fashioned polish (not the ultra shiny Victorian machine polish), but =
is
very hard work.

To get an agate that fits in your hand for this you need to go to a rock =
&
mineral shop where they sell agate "slices", and have them make a rectang=
le
about 2 X 3 inches, with smoothed edges. Should not be too expensive. I g=
ot
some many years ago, but have given all but one away.
