Re: Art Books Pricing Question

My suggested rule of thumb is:

Take the hourly rate you feel you need to sustain you life style.
Multiply that by 1.75 - covers benefits and lost time.
Multiply that by 3 to cover the fact that you will have 2 hours of non
productive time for every 1 hour productive time. This time is to cover
record keeping, supplies ordering, and misc phone calls

(hourly rate x 1.75) x 3

You now have a rate which considers benefits etc. These numbers are going to
be a bit high but if you set your goals high you can allways adjust the
price as necessary for a particular item.

Generally speaking, I would say that $35.00 is a bit low. But, it is all
based on the lifestyle you choose to maintain.

Good luck.
