Re: aftermarket cartridges

There is more to the ink than the ink. I was fascinated by the ink jet
printer's level of technology as explained in "Preservation of Ink Jet
Hardcopies: An Investigation by Martin C. J=FCrgens for the MS in
Cross-Disciplinary Studies, at Rochester Institute of Technology, =
Rochester,
NY August 27, 1999." You can see this at
http://www.knaw.nl/ecpa/publ/jurgens.html.

The information about paper was also a surprise. I had thought that =
the
special paper for photo quality prints was just very white and very =
smooth.
But there is chemistry too!

It is my guess (and only a guess -- not even an estimate) that computer
printer ink is about 50 to 100 times more expensive.
