Re: Removing pastedowns



To all the kind souls who answered our enquiry.  There were too many to
answer each one individually, but to each of you, a mighty thanks.  Your
suggestions have been taken on board.

Some suggested soaking the boards, and then peeling off the pastedown
from behind.  Others suggested the use of solvents to try, in case the
adhesive was rubber-based.  Others suggested colour-photocopying the old
pastedown on aged paper.  All good suggestionsd, depending on the job at
hand.  All grist for the mill.
