THURSDAY EVENING PROGRAMS

February 8th , 7 - 9 PM
Author Reading & Artist Slides:
Rory Golden, Gerry Gomez Pearlberg, Robin Lewis,  Shari DeGraw and Ben Rinehart
will present and talk about their creative work, read from their writings, show
slides of their work and perform for you.
CBA Members FREE - Non-members $5 suggested donation.
Limited edition prints of the authors' work, designed and letterpress printed at
The Center for Book Arts, will be available for sale to benefit the Center.

February 15th 7 PM
Self Publishing Roundtable discussion
A variety of perspectives on getting your word out the way you want it.
Panelists (tba) will discuss what is going on in self publishing today, their
experience in fine press publishing, metazines, the internet and everything else
out there in 2001!

February 22nd 6:30 - 9 PM
Black History Month Event:
Once More With Feelings
The work of internationally acclaimed artist/ illustrator, Tom Feelings, has
been transformed into not just artists books, but wearable and functional art as
well by CBA member, book artist Ruth E. Edwards. These artists will share their
art and talk about their inspiration and collaboration on their creative
projects. Live African Drumming!

In The Gallery

Now through February 15 we are pleased to have an exhibit of Curious Book
Structures from the collection of Mindell Dubansky. The exhibit includes
Victorian albums, a breast-pocket book with a bulletproof cover (to protect the
heart), sewing needle books, a book salesman's sample Bible with multiple
leather covers, and many other interesting items.

February 15 - March 14 the showcase will feature Ruth Edwards: A Closer Look.,
and highlights from our Black History Month Program Make a Book Take a Book.
