Re: language and patents



A quick footnote, Peter: the basic legal principle is
that *ideas* cannot be patented.... They have to take
material form as inventions. It's what has made the
notion of patent a little tricky when applied to
cyberspace, virtual reality stuff, not to mention
genetic material...
