Opening: The Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper Arts

The Columbia College Chicago Center for Book and Paper Arts

Invites you to join us for the opening of The Illuminated Manuscript.

No design medium has been more involved with the nature of our thoughts and
communications than typography, and yetthe chief characteristic of
letterforms, which endow the alphabet with luminous uniqueness, are often
overlooked. TheManuscript Illuminated is an exhibition which explores the
work of three artists, whose unusual perspectives on typography, form, and
message challenge the very notion of why and how we communicate. Their work
provokes the eyeand flirts with the boundaries of the typographically safe
and familiar. This exhibition is being curated by Dana Arnett.

The opening will be on Friday March 16th from 5-7 pm.
