Re: Books wet with sewage water!



Discard those books!  E. Coli bacteria is dangerous to touch and breathe. I
had a studio flood several years ago, and used the services of an
environmental testing service.  They advised throwing out all paper and fiber
which ahd been wet.  Legs of tables and chairs received treatment with
special disinfectants, all this with respirators and rubber gloves. If the
books are valuable and insured, they can be bagged in plastic garbage bags
until an insurance inspector actually sees them.
