AW: Klucel G

Dear Duncan

Usually (if there is ever something like that in book repair or
conservation) when you mix Klucel G you work with about a 2% solution. But
I'd be very careful applying water on to leather. It might be safer to use
the Klucel in Ethanol (about 2g in 98 ml of Ethanol). Klucel is an adhesive
and it's often used as a consolidator on powdery or flaky leather. Still it
should always be tested (on a small spot where it doesn't show) if it causes
any damage to the leather. If it is not applied properly it might darken and
stain the leather. Maybe contact a book conservator.
