Re: Round corners - correction

Friends,
IT SEEMS THAT I MAY HAVE MISREAD THE QUESTION. Sorry for the earlier response.
A more appropriate answer would be:
Cut the cloth or paper at a similar radius about 1/4 to 3/8 inch away from
the board. Start at a point where the round begins and make a small pleat in
the material; hold the material and move to another point about an 1/8 inch
away and make another pleat; and so on. It used to be that one would get (if
I remember correctly) maybe 5 or 7 pleats in the material.
A bonefolder might work, but a piece of metal (i.e. brass) with a dull edge,
in a similar shape to an English paring knife, works well to form each pleat.
Hope this is a better reply.
Good Luck

There is a Corner Rounder made by LASSCO Products in Rochester, NY, phone
716-235-1991. It is available with various radi from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch.
Some book and paper conservation suppliers and printing suppliers carry them.
They are over $100.
Otherwise, you could use a wooodworkers gouge or even finger nail clippers.
