FOR THE LOVE OF BOOKS
The Arthur and Mata Jaffe Collection, in conjunction with the South
Florida Calligraphy Guild, presents "For the Love of Books," an

a Jaffe Collection purchase prize competition, celebrates the long and
venerable shared history of Calligraphy and the Book Arts. Through
November 12 at the Jaffe Atrium Gallery, third floor east of Florida
Atlantic University's Wimberly Library. The Jaffe Atrium Gallery is
accessible during regular library hours, but it's best to schedule an
appointment to view other works in the Jaffe Book Arts Collection. Phone

"Leggere l'Italia (Reading Italy)," a Book Arts exhibit of
things Italian, is currently on display outside the Wimberly Library
Administrative Offices, second floor. The collection of books from the
Arthur and Mata Jaffe Collection features a most unusual edition of Carlo
Collodi's Le Avventure di Pinocchio, as well as bookworks by
Leonard Baskin, Hans Mardersteig's Officina Bodoni, and other book
artists who have been inspired by the culture of Italy. The exhibit,
which runs through November, is part of FAU's Third Annual
