Hi  Artemis:  If there is a newspaper publisher near you  ( in Alaska? )
the left over  newsprint paper roll ends are often available for teachers.
There are quite a few yards of good paper on each one.  Another source of
material that is paintable and hangable are cardboard boxes from stores that
usually break them down and ship them out for recycling or the dump. Also of
use are cheap paper plates and old roll down window shades. Will the
supermarket donate a roll of butcher paper ?
