Hi Amy -

Sometimes doing a direct search of the Book_Arts-L archives will bring up
information that a general search won't. If you go to:

http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/byform/mailing-lists/bookarts/AT-bookartsquer
y.html

and search the word "sugar", you'll see several messages about sugar paper
and its origins. While they might not list sources, they might provide more
information that will help you find what you're looking for.
