Hi Libby..
     actually,  you just get regular linen thread (suitable for bookbinding
and available in different weights ) and wax it yourself with a knob of
beeswax.  Just cut what you think you need to start and run the thread
through the wax a couple of times.  The wax is readily available at any
fabric supply store.
     Remember to choose the weight of your thread relating to the thickness
of the signatures and of the book itself.  Please holler if you need anything
more!
