The Northern California chapter of the American Printing History Association
is sponsoring a private viewing & informal discussion
  on Saturday, January 26th, 2002, 2pm
  at the San Francisco Public Library.

*Typography writer John Berry on the typefaces
        of Hermann & Gudrun Zapf

*Curator Susie Taylor on the Zapfs? calligraphy

*Typographer Linnea Lundquist & guests
        on the making of the Zapfest catalogue

*Hermann Zapf?s famous movie for Hallmark Cards

*The silent movie of the Hermann Zapf exhibition of 1961
        with Hermann & Jack Stauffacher

   The discussions will include materials from the library?s
   Special Collections, including work seen in the recent Zapfest.

*Refreshments & a brief annual meeting will follow the program.

While this is a members event, guests are welcome. There will be ample
opportunity to join APHA during the event!
