OLD WAYS of BOOK MAKING for BOOK ARTS MATERIALISTS- taught by Jim Croft =
at Santa, Idaho  July2-15   2002   Building a book literally from the =
ground up in the tradition of Technology of the Medieval Book that was =
held here for 10 years.The full workshop is two weeks, but can be =
divided up if desired=20
2 days----Hands making hand tools for the Book Arts and sharpening ....2 =
days---Fiber processing , spinning  and plying hemp and linen into =
thread and cordage.....3 days---handpapermaking replicating the =
materials and tecniques of the golden age of papermaking.....5 days--all =
about finding and fitting wood for book covers, and the nearly forgotten =
