Hi Dave,

When I worked as a leather goods designer years ago the hides were usually
sorted and stacked flat on the lower shelf of the sorting/cutting tables.
Small skins, fragile skins and samples were usually rolled up in heavy brown
packing paper, but not sealed at the ends so air could circulate (to avoid
moisture & mold) and stored on a open shelf out of sun & heat.
