[BKARTS] Looking for a (bookish) good time in New York?

The “Brother Bill & Sister Char Travelin’ Ebook Show”
rolls into Manhattan on Nov. 22. Bill Harroff &
Charlotte Johnson, book arts veterans and educators,
will hold an all-day workshop at METRO in New York
City. The presenters will change the way participants
think of books and reveal the creative potential of
the book in electronic form.

After placing electronic texts in historical
perspective, the workshop presenters will review,
step-by-step, the process they used to organize, fund,
promote, exhibit and stage their ebook “happenings”
around the country. During the workshop, participants
will personally experience the wealth of ebook forms
in a hands-on digital gallery using computers to
showcase ebooks as electronic artworks. The exhibited
works explore significant issues such as the
redefinition of the reading, writing and artmaking
processes, visual literacy, preservation, the future
of information delivery, and digital rights
management. Each participant will also receive a copy
of the authors’ CD-ROM documenting their work in this
area over the last few years. (e)Groovy!

A good, unique and informative time will be had by
all! To register or for more information, please go to
