[BKARTS] Bookbinders

Vol. XXXVII, Number 2 of The Guild of BookWorkers Journal (Fall 2002) is mostly
a wonderful interview with the Eberhardts. On page 101 is a short essay "About
Premeditated Style" by Fritz Eberhardt that is a must-read.

Along the same lines, the current exhibition of works by Joseph Cornell at The
Allan Stone Gallery (90th bet. Park & Lex, NYC) includes a 1939 altered book in
which the artist cut out the centers of most of the pages of a small 19th c.
French quarter leather book, making that part into a box with a glass top,
inside which was a toy spoon.
