Re: [BKARTS] Copyright Permission??

Hi Kevin,
The whole issue of Copyright and Royalties is fraught with danger. Avoid the
problem and show due courtesy to the Author and possibly Publisher by
seeking their agreement. It is seldon withheld and often brings its own
rewards.
I am in the UK and have been involved with these issues for a very long
time. If you ignore the common courtesy and just go ahead, you will only, at
best get up someones nose, or at worst become involved in a very expensive
litigation.
If I can help with specific advice please give me a shout.
Mike

Subject: [BKARTS] Copyright Permission??

| Hi All,
|
| Do I need to obtain copyright permission if I am simply quoting another
| publication in a artist book? The quotes are only a few lines long and
will
| be attributed to both the author and the title of the published book or
| newspaper.
|
| Thanks,
|
| Kevin
