[BKARTS] Book Arts in the News

There have been some nice articles about the book arts in the news recently. The first was a powerful piece on African women with AIDS who are making memory books for their children to have after they are gone. The link is: www.nytimes.com/2003/04/02/international/africa/02UGAN.html

There is a well-written and nicely researched article by Laura Meyers in the April issue of Art Business News that explores the extent to which book artists are getting a toehold in commercial fine art galleries. The author presents an overview of the state of the book arts economy and the article is richly illustrated with color photos of a good variety of artist books from across the country. I couldn't find a direct link, but here's the link to the publication www.artbusinessnews.com
