Explore traditional and contemporary dongba art by the Naxi people of
southwest China's Yunnan province. Exhibited objects include hempen
scroll and board paintings, wooden and clay statuettes, and a variety
of texts written and decorated with a unique form of pictographic
writing.

On May 3 (3-4pm, Library's US Bank Room), Charles McKhann (exhibit
curator) will present a lecture on Naxi culture and the history of
its religious specialists (dongbas).
