Those bounced messages from "Mailer Daemon" can occur when a spammer is
using your email and user name as a forged return address. After I started
receiving them, I did a quick web search and saw that it appears to be
fairly common.

It's unnerving to know that your name is listed as the sender of spam but
apparently, it's clear to the recipient that it didn't actually come from
you, it just routes any bad address bounced back to you, which is a pain.

I did read about a woman whose email address from her personal domain (as
opposed to an email address through a network provider like aol, hotmail,
etc.) was used in this way and her ISP suspended her account until she could
show that she wasn't a spammer.
