Re: [BKARTS] library binding

You might also want to help this person make some specifications for the binding of the books. If the paperbacks are in sewn sections, it would be good to retain those sections using a "recase" specification. Although the buckram covers are very sturdy...the leaf attachment is also important. If the paperbacks are in single sheets, most library binders will do a double fan adhesive binding...but again it would be good to specify this. For details on these terms see the present standard for Library Binding(ANSI/NISO/LBI Z39.78-2000) available in PDF format at the NISO wesite.
