It is important first, to note whether the book is in sections or single
sheets.  I use Pete's (Temper fan gluing press) method for books that are in
single sheets but I use a Gary Frost sewn folio of .020 board for books sewn
in sections that I want to look like paperbacks after they are "rebound".
Pete's instructions have options for a hollow spine that allows for good
opening characteristics as does the Gary Frost method.  Please call me if
you want specifics.
