Re: [BKARTS] Books without Words



It does seem true to say that art is defined by the artist.
More precisely, by the artist's intention.
But it to be hoped that art is not merely defined by the medium.
Choosing a type of medium is certainly a valid artistic task,
perhaps even a necessary one.
But if art is only the medium then there is almost nothing
to distinguish it from random assemblage,
100 monkeys with typewriters,
or simply a good craftsman without an ounce
artisitic aspirations in him/her.
