I think Richard is right. No one declares a manifesto to be
related to markets since its legitimacy in the eyes of the market
is based on the perception that what is being defined is some form of art or
other.
Otherwise there is the risk of the revelation that
the art world could be dangerously similar to the stocks and bonds world.
But market is the end result just the same.

A sad case when in free market fundamentalism the market defines
the artist as an economic survivor.

It would be pleasant to see some form of manifesto
the defines the book as something altogether different,
as a magical object perhaps.

Only a metaphor. No need to stretch it far.

And Mayakovski, no doubt, was more interested in polemic than markets.
