Re: [BKARTS] forming the cap when doing a vellum binding??

The first thing to remember is to round and back with a very gentle curve.
This will save you a lot of trouble. The relatively stiff vellum will
conform to a gentle curve with far less difficulty.

Moisten the vellum and use your teeth (it works).

Subject: forming the cap when doing a vellum binding??

Hallo,

what is the best way to form the cap when doing a vellum-binding??
Should I insert a piece of cord or not, put some chalk in it to increase
opacity, etc.

I would like to hear some advices and experiences how to form it and how
to avoid folds and bumpy forms.

Thanks in advance
