[BKARTS] Gocco Printing Workshop in Eugene, Oregon



Gocco Printing Workshop

Learn how to use a simple silkscreen process from
Japan to create your own cards and prints from
original artwork or copyright-free clipart.  Bring
doodles, drawings, or found art, and turn them into a
design for your prints.  The instructor will also
bring materials that can be used as inspirations or
starting points for original and unique designs if you
do not have your own.  Each participant will be end up
with copies of two finished prints.  Presented by the
Northwest Chapter of the Guild of Book Workers.

About the instructor
Shu-Ju Wang is an artist in Portland, Oregon.  She
works in printmaking, drawing, painting, and artist's
books.  She teaches Gocco and art classes around the

When: Saturday, March 13, 10-5 PM (with a lunch break)
Where: Beach Conservation Lab in the Knight Library,
University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon
Cost: GBW NW Chapter members: $60 + $17 material fee,
non-members: $70 + $17 material fee.  Basic materials
& equipment are supplied, except for the
artwork for the cards.  Participants are encouraged to
bring papers/materials that they are interested in
trying.

Participants should wear clothes that they don't mind
dirtying/staining. We will be using oil-based,
non-toxic inks to print the cards.
