Subject: Nasiriyah library burned

A report in Tuesday's edition of Al-Quds Al-Arabi
[http://www.alquds.co.uk/] mentioned the burning by arson(?) of the
Library of the Museum in Nasiriyah, with a loss of ca. 4000 volumes.
Juan Cole's blog repeats this story this morning "...a library in
Nassiriyah containing some 4,000 volumes was set on fire by unknown
persons..." [http://www.juancole.com/], citing a report in Corriere
della Sera.

As of last evening (Chicago time), John Russell had no further
information in Baghdad

I'd be grateful for details if anyone has any.
