[BKARTS] Lecture at Horn Press at UCLA

Horn Press at UCLA will host a lecture by Kitty Maryatt on Tuesday, May 25th,
2004, from 2 to 4 p.m. on the UCLA campus in Room 111 of GSE & IS building.
Kitty will lead us through the process of developing an artist's book from
conception to completion, as well as discussing the contrasting nature of the
traditional fine press book vs. the artist's book. She will show slides and bring
several artist's books from her own collection to help visualize and
experience these book-based works of art.

Kitty Maryatt was privileged to study with Andy Horn at the Horn Press in
1981 while she was working on her MFA at UCLA. Kitty teaches at Scripps College
in Claremont, California and is Director of the Scripps College Press. She also
runs her own business, Two Hands Press, in Woodland Hills, where she makes
books for clients.

Refreshments will be served.

For further information, contact Kitty Maryatt at twohandspr@xxxxxxx or call
818 703-0257.
