Acrylics always have that tacky feel and will stick to each other if not
coated wtih a wax or special varnish.  I use Dorlands wax.  My projects are
not for archival or long term life however.  I suggest you go to the Golden
paint site.  They have a wealth of information, tech sheets for everything
and will answer your questions.  IMHO they are the best.  They can also tell
you the best finish to use for your purpose.
