SMALL PUBLISHERS FAIR 2004

22nd & 23rd OCTOBER
Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC1
Open daily 11am - 7pm    Admission Free  (Nearest Tube: Holborn)

FRIDAY 22nd OCTOBER AT 6.30pm*

The Fair will display some of the best of recent small press publishing, featuring
work by contemporary artists, writers, and poets.

Forty publishers will be participating from UK, France, Switzerland, Netherlands,
Ireland, and the USA.

This year, the Fair will be featuring a special exhibition of books from the
collection at GRANARY BOOKS (New York) with an accompanying talk from
Steve Clay (Director of Granary Books)

Readings & Booklaunches will take place on Saturday 23rd - as below

(All readings will take place in the Brockway Room)

    2.00     Touched Press: John Gibbens & Armorel Weston

    2.30     Tolling Elves: Tim Atkins

    3.00     Granary Books: a presentation by Steve Clay, including launch

                of the 2nd edition of  'The Century of Artists' Books' by Johanna Drucker

    4.00     Gefn Press: book launch for 'Here Are My Instructions': video  &

                readings by Redell Olson & others

    4.30     John Seed

    5.00     Les Coleman

    5.30     Cuneiform Press: Kyle Schlesinger

    6.00     West House: Geraldine Monk & Alan Halsey

    6.30     Coracle Press: Simon Cutts & Harry Gilonis

©¯The Small Publishers Fair intends to establish a continuous forum for the
activities of many small presses from Britain and further afield internationally.
The range of published material has been produced by artists and writers,
composers and poets.....often such work needs particular and careful
distribution, and may not immediately fit the shelves of existing bookshops and
libraries.©?
