[BKARTS] Celebrating the Holidays with Lewis & Clark

(Please pardon the cross-posting)

The Printery has produced a special holiday booklet for those who love history. Whether for yourself or as a perfect stocking stuffer for that hard-to-shop-for history buff on your Christmas list, Celebrating the Holidays at the Mandan Village in a Proper & Social Manner is sure to please.

The text for this booklet is taken directly from a copy of the 1807 edition of Patrick Gass’ Journal for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, 1804 and New Year’s Day 1805. These entries record the celebration of the holidays at Fort Mandan and provide insight into the day-to-day activities of the "Corps of Discovery" at this remote outpost. A brief biography of Gass, the last known survivor of the expedition, is also included.

You may see a photo of the booklet and learn more details by visiting The Printery at www.theprinterybooks.com.

Thank you,

Virginia Kramer
