About Skopelos
The island of Skopelos is midway between Athens and Thessaloniki surrounded
by the Aegean Sea, part of the Sporades chain of islands. It has lush pine
forests and vegetation, mountains, natural springs and in the spring, the
pastures are awash with a varied palette of wildflowers. The village of
Skopelos is hilly with cobblestone paths leading straight upward to what is
called the Kastro area where the Foundation is located above the sea.
