[BKARTS] The Pocket Paper Engineer by Carol Barton

Yesterday, The Pocket Paper Engineer: How to Make Pop-Ups Step-by-Step by
Carol Barton
arrived. It's a colorful, well designed, clearly thought out and imaginative
book which teases
the bookish mind with it's Volume 1 status. There may be more to come!

The book (6 x 9.5 inches, 68 pages, wire-O bound in hard cover) offers
opportunities to try Carol's diagrams with symbols and terminology that make the
do-it-yourself cards easy to follow. There are coated and tabbed separators for
each principle or mechanism (boxes, triangles, etc.) and card pockets for
storing your colorful examples. Carol offers extra cards in case you want to keep
your book pristine, teach a class or just practice, practice, practice...and
I plan to order some.

You can see and order the book and don't forget the extra cards at:

I've always admired Carol Barton's tunnel books and had a great time in a
class I took
with her at the NY Center for Books. Congratulations to her on this
impressive and
delightfully instructional book.
